Both Fraser Mann and Elisabeth Symons have extensive expertise to draw upon when assisting clients. Fraser has practised for over 30 years and Elisabeth for over 15. Both of them have been partners in prominent Canadian law firms. Fraser has also been a partner of a New York-based law firm, and Elisabeth has worked in-house for leading technology companies. Consequently, each has worked with clients in many industry sectors on a wide variety of matters involving traditional and emerging technologies. Each understands the issues that arise when technology and law mix, and each is able to find creative and practical responses to those issues.
Both have held leadership roles with the technology law bar. Fraser is the current President of the Canadian IT Law Association, a former Chair of the Technology Law Committee of the International Bar Association and a former Chair of the International Law Sections of both the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations. Elisabeth is a former Chair of the Information Technology and Ecommerce Section of the Ontario Bar Association and a former Chair of the Toronto Computer Lawyers’ Group.
Both Fraser and Elisabeth write and speak extensively on law and technology, and have been recognized by various publications and rating guides as leaders in the area of technology law.
